Writer Biography

Rosemary Forrest held her first job as a writer in 1969 for the daily newspaper, The Jersey Journal. She would later write for other newspapers in New England and Augusta, Georgia.  

 

Her experience includes both editorial and advertising.  She was the Business and Review Editor for the Augusta Chronicle and Associate Editor for the Metropolitan Spirit, where many of her articles were picked up for syndication through AlterNet.

 

She worked for eight years for the University of Georgia's Savannah River Ecology Laboratory writing about herpetology, radioecology, and other fields related to land and water remediation from heavy industrial uses. 

 

Her experience in grant writing has helped nonprofits, including America's Warrior Partnership, gain millions of dollars in grant funding. She has also assisted in the writing of Requests For Proposals (RFPs) and other grant documentation.  

 

She enjoys pottery and her five grandchildren.
